Passive Green Building Case Studies
poster and booklet
In achieving energy efficiency together with utilizing environmental-friendly, durable materials, design solutions are looked into with first a basic approach in passive sustainable designing, following site context, relating to climate, culture and user experience.
In a group of 5, two precedent buildings from different climatic regions were analyzed with user experience and compared according to main five factors :
site planning & orientation, daylighting, facade design, natural ventilation and strategic landscaping.
Analyzation is conveyed into a poster and booklet form, then translate into presentation.
Our selected buildings were The Edge (Hamburg) and Herit-watt University (Putrajaya, Malaysia).

Passive Green Building Strategies Report
Carrying on from previous learnings, looking into green buildings designing in relation to development of architectural design with passive strategies, aiming to reduce the overall impact of the
built environment with surroundings.
Employments of all passive strategies in focused studio design project, relating to previous tropical climate case study, to be conveyed in report format.
r e f l e c t i o n .
Passive sustainable designing strategies analyzed previously have been learnt to integrate in architectural design, considering all climate, culture and user experience. The sustainable strategies played important roles to allow more in-depth purpose, expression and considerations for the environment when applied onto design thinking in the future, which is widely beneficial, not just for us growing students in architecture, but also for the environment.
